This membership gives you access to a small, self-directed ceramic studio designed for focused, independent making. The studio operates as a pilot space and is ideal for ceramicists with prior experience who are looking for a calm, flexible place to work.

The space is intentionally kept small and non-crowded, allowing members to work at their own pace in a respectful environment.

FAQ

Do I need prior ceramic experience? Yes. This is a self-directed studio. No classes or instruction are provided. Members should already be comfortable working independently with clay and equipment.
Is this membership recurring? No commitment is required. Memberships are month-to-month. You are only purchasing access for the selected month.
What are the access hours? The studio is accessible from 9AM to 5PM all week including the weekend. Access hours are shared with members after registration and are designed to keep the studio calm and uncrowded.
This is not a 24/7 open-access space.  But within the hours, you are welcome to come as often as you would like.
How many members share the studio? The studio is intentionally kept small with a limited number of members to ensure a quiet, respectful working environment.
What kind of kiln is available?   Currently the studio has a small electric kiln (8–9” interior height) suitable for small to medium functional pieces.
Ideal for: mugs, cups, bowls, small plates (up to ~8–8.5”), shallow dishes, soap dishes, incense holders, tiles, and test pieces.
Large or tall pieces may not be suitable.
Are kiln firings included? Kiln use is included for reasonable, small-scale work during the pilot phase. Excessive or unusually large firing requests may be subject to limits or additional fees.
Are clay included?
 Your membership comes with 10lbs of clay. If you wish to purchase more, you are allowed to do so at the studio for  $2 per lb.

Are glazes included? Yes. Members have access to a shared glaze collection. Members are expected to follow glaze guidelines and test when needed.
Can I store my work at the studio? Yes. Each member is provided with personal storage space. Storage is intended for in-progress and recently fired work only.
Can I bring guests? No. Membership access is personal and non-transferable. Guests are not permitted unless explicitly approved.
Can I teach classes or sell work from the studio? Teaching classes or hosting workshops is not included in the membership. Selling your own work is allowed, but the studio does not handle sales or commissions.
Is the studio insured? Members work at their own risk. The studio is not responsible for loss, damage, or breakage of personal work or tools.
What is the cancellation or refund policy? Membership fees are non-refundable once the month has started. If the studio is not a good fit, you’re free not to renew the following month.
